American federal worker here impacted by the shutdown. We are being held hostage so that people are kicked off health care. I resent being used in this manner and strongly urge everyone to support the shutdown.
Wonder what Fox News talks about tonight

It is a global far right power grab
Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

If somebody confides in you that today's news has finally convinced them something is up with this Epstein thing, treat them the same as you would a person telling you they no longer believe The Undertaker has supernatural powers: Be kind and ask them where's their 13th birthday party going to be

It’s so weird knowing the entire plot but waiting for people to catch up because they skipped the prologue somehow. #epsteinfiles

Glad this story is finally public but also incredible that it is taking media so long to dig up what is essentially open knowledge in these communities rn.

Eh. The problem with putting your hope in young white men is that they become old white men.

Oooooooo………

The young Dems are charging home!!!

So exciting to witness the future of the Party!!

Put the establishment rusted on old ones out to pasture.

Off you Schumer.
Off you go Schiff.
Off you go Jeffries.
Off you go Booker.

Enjoy retirement

Anyone else??

So this happened an hour ago. I don’t think I’ve seen red this deep in a long time. You could see it quite clearly with the naked eye. #aurora

Just showed my 3 year old son my indie game. He said you should always be able to justify your use of a mechanic. Ask yourself, why am i using mechanic x instead of mechanic y? my mind was blown

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

The Kim Davis case was the dumbest legal ask and every time press framed it as anything except for fucking stupid on its face, they helped lend credence to the idea the Constitution doesn't mean what it literally fucking says.

sorry to keep hanging this drum, but this is exactly *why* they did this. they can't have the electorate radicalized and moving farther left. they need to keep things close so that they stay relevant. it's too risky to primary incumbents when things are close.
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

That moment when we realize it’s businesses vs. everyone else and what color your hat is doesn’t matter.
By the way, this has been the Democrats party for decades. They’ve skated by for years on this “at least we’re not republicans” bullshit, meanwhile enabling them at every turn.

This is just the time during which you can ill afford their feckless ways.

If you discuss politics with anybody, frame the Kim Davis request appropriately: she asked SCOTUS to allow any elected rep to ignore the law where it clashed with their religion. Whether they are Christian or not.

Because it’s not GOP vs. Dem, it’s those who are paid for by corporations vs. those who aren’t.
