24 hours in with #hollythehuskypoo and she's currently in the one place I didn't want her to be, in the hall behind the front door, trying to make herself as small as possible after being scared my 2 post deliveries. Hasn't eaten yet. Did a short walk and met her first doggo friend Milo.

We all had a first night sleepover downstairs last night, not perhaps the best idea but Holly grumbled a bit at the noise of Bob's CPAP machine and he suggested I stay downstairs. Didn't sleep too badly and Holly was fine, on the sofa with me. She put her paws on her bed but decided on the sofa.

OMG how can you live somewhere and not know locations? Every time there's an incident on the tram (every day at the moment) and it isn't running to/from somewhere, the feed is full of "but is it going X to/or X?" I'd be sacked as their SM because "no you fking idiot" sometimes offends 🤣

Despite the very shitty journey and dickheads on the road, had a lovely evening with the in-laws and cousins last night celebrating my favourite cousin-in-law Tricia's 60th. Haven't got any cousins of my own but when I married Bob I gained 17 of his! My SIL said I looked very glamorous 😊

This is Cole. He is a deaf service dog at Dr. William Mennies Elementary School. He just turned 9, and all of his students learned sign language to sing him happy birthday at a massive party. 14/10 for all (IG: colethedeafdog)

Switched the living room back round in anticipation of Holly's arrival. My sofa back by the window to block the view of people/dogs walking past (at least while she gets comfortable) and also the radiator. Bob thinks I'm overthinking things but he forgets we're essentially getting a puppy

I feel like a tree or trees must have gone from this view because Keppel's Column hasn't always been this clearly visible from the back bedroom. Same goes for being able to see the top of the cranes as well! Although that could be because they put up a different model. It's looking cold out there 🥶

Had two conductor-less tram journeys today. Unfortunately for me no bonus as I've got a 5-day pass which I'm supposed to activate before I board. Probably won't bother next time, till I know I definitely need to. Wonder how much this is costing #supertram and #syorksmayor

Well, in an unexpected plot twist it appears I'M the favourite of #hollythehuskypoo 😊 Although she makes a fuss of Colm who works at the rescue and has given us so much time, and Steve who walks her every day, I suspect *strange* men remind her of her start in life and those who mistreated her.

Was going to go out and get some garden bits to prep for Holly's arrival. But thank you to The Range for doing home delivery 🚚 (especially as unlikely to fit in either car). Can stay in my pyjamas and not move #saturdaywin Busy day tomorrow instead.

Bugger. I was meant to be looking after bestie's dog overnight while they're away next month for their son's passing out parade. Plan was to stay over, WFH at theirs. Now of course we're getting Holly. Their dog is old, but reactive with other dogs , and it feels too soon to introduce Holly
