I love how it never occurs to him that if he's suddenly ripping off his shirt in front of these people that they might find that *aggressive,* and seeing his tattoo might be *terrifying* so they didn't say anything. Just never considers the harm he's doing to other people!

People who use "libs" or "left bros" pejoratively only engage in politics online. Very reliable indicator!

Yep. Just one example: the "father" of voter role purging, Hans Von Spakovsky got his national start in the Dubya administration, ironically: in the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ.

One of the authors of Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation member has sown his anxieties over voter fraud far and wide among conservatives

Most importantly, George W. Bush was responsible for a lot of the legal tactics that Trump is using to try to destroy our democracy.

I don't think he's beating Mills in the primary anymore . I genuinely do not understand how that guy can't be fucking honest about what that tattoo was and plays the idiot.

Notably, countries like Britain, the US, France (before it was conquered) also salvaged capitalism without resorting to fascism to do it, and the more likely explanation is conservative parties in places like Germany were both incapable and unwilling to restrain their extremists, ala Ziblatt.

Why don't landlords in Houston use that to drive up prices to numbers similar to Los Angeles?

And Occupy Wall Street is the archetypal example of a movement that could never have succeeded, for quite a few reasons, and it's bad that a lot of left-wingers focus on Occupy Wall Street as a central example of left protest movements.

I think it is, frankly, pretty akin to Schumer validating the "rotating villain of the Senate" theory: it's not always right, but after a while you'd be very hard-pressed to pretend it's entirely wrong

An expiration of 2028 means anyone disgusted by the atrocities in Gaza need to make this a massive issue for that election. Yes, the current admin will make the deal; but we need to insure whoever the Dem candidate is, is committed to undoing that deal.

It’s also such a weird asymmetry - if the right approach was transparency, then the two parties went from:
(a) Campaigning for it’s release, but then fighting against it at all costs when it became possible
(b) Not caring, and then pushing for full transparency

Those approaches are not equivalent!

i think a terribly large percentage of the brooklyn podcast-industrial complex looked at braddock, 2013 as a good thing, an altleft sistah souljah moment.
it was johnny fets standing athwart idpol & yelling, "stop!"
