On Monday, NYS Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie told reporters the the state budget is “99.9% done.”
He said the budget will include Buffalo Mayor Christopher Scanlon’s proposed 3% hotel occupancy tax and sale of parking ramps to a newly created parking authority in financial aid package for Buffalo.

The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African American flying unit in the U.S. military.
Altogether, 992 pilots graduated from the Tuskegee Air Field courses, and they flew 1,578 missions and 15,533 sorties, destroyed 261 enemy aircraft, and won more than 850 medals.
