They’ve been more aggressive in SF — inching forward to force the pedestrians to give robots the right of way. programming bros don’t recognize the line of children on a field trip or neighborhood parade.

A number of people from out-of-state have been opening tabs at small businesses—coffee shops where people on patrol can grab a drink and warm up, bars where people can be in community, etc. It’s been a deeply appreciated form of solidarity and helps the businesses closing tomorrow.
how (if at all) can we support the minnesota general strike on friday from afar?

Without even consciously choosing to avoid him I haven't seen anything Jared Leto has done in ten years. At this point I primarily know him from his prolific work in the field of sexual misconduct allegations and am a little baffled by him apparently still regularly appearing in huge films.

I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

People confuse minority leader McConnell who saw all of Obama's appointments go through and the ACA pass, with Majority leader McConnell, who stole a SCOTUS seat, or more commonly confused McConnell with Speaker Boehner who shut down the govt in 2013

Respectfully, I am going to whisper to some of our white comrades a truth that should be more widely known: You definitely have some ancestors to be proud of, ancestors who refused white supremacy, and poured out their lives in many of these struggles over time.

Time to claim your true history.

As a social movements scholar, I absolutely love the diversity of tactics being developed by each city, reflecting their local flavor

Portland kept it weird with inflatable costumes

Chicago protected its street vendors by buying up their food each day

Charlotte chased ICE agents into the woods
