Judith from Mosman is spending $500k to stop four-storey apartments near public transport. Not to fix the housing crisis, just to keep it out of her postcode. The problem isn’t migrants. It’s people like Judith deciding who gets to live near a train and who gets to commute for two hours.

Just in case you haven’t seen this👇Jo, from Peter Duncan (Don Dunstan’s AG for non-SA folk). Good to see so many still care about Dunstan’s legacy. Thanks Jo too for your public stance. Much appreciated from this devastated Adelaidian.

Seems to be some resistance from the Coalition side to former high court justice Virginia Bell chairing the Bondi RC. She was tasked with investigating Scott Morrison's ministries & reported in November 2022. #auspol www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

She will. I knew Virginia Bell when she worked at Redfern Legal Centre and I was a lowly law student volunteer. Her integrity and passion for justice had a profound effect on me, and I've watched her career since then, all the way to Justice of the High Court. She will not tick boxes.
Quite genuinely, this is why Frydenberg et al never wanted Bell as commissioner. She will no doubt examine real, appalling instances of antisemitism, and the extremism that led to Bondi massacre, but I suspect she will spend at least some time on the plain truth of Israel’s campaign for silence.

Sussssan Ley was not alone. Another prominent ‘fee speechist’ was the ever-facile Josh Frydenberg.
On 10 Oct, 2016 both PM Malcolm Turnbull & OL Bill Shorten spoke on a motion denouncing racism in Australia. As Shorten stood, Sussan Ley was among a group to walk out. At the time, the push to weaken the Racial Discrimination Act was raging. #auspol youtu.be/F9y_v0yT8cE

If Josh Frydenberg wants to talk about bad appointments for Royal Commissioner, he should start with his party’s appointment of Dyson Heydon, who was later found to have sexually harassed multiple women.

I don’t recall Josh raising any objections?

Lots of videos doing the rounds on FB. Supposedly from Jews talking about the hate of gentiles in the Talmud. May be worth checking context. And if they refer to goys, a disparaging word for gentiles, I'd be suspect of the origins of the video or statement. Not something I'd be sharing. Just me ..
