I already had a tele. Blue (for Chelsea) but a satin finish on the neck and rosewood for feel were just what I wanted and the hot rail pickup will let me be gruff and noisy. Timing was the realisation that, with the onset of arthritis, this particular gratification couldn’t be further deferred.

One which sounds wrong to me, but apparently *only* me: “me neither”. I want to use “nor” for a second negative even where it’s implied. So “me neither” is really “[Neither you] nor me”. See also “neither do I” which my brain always wants to rewrite to “nor do I”.

My mum just said to me "You should be hung like a horse". When I challenged her over saying such a thing, it transpires she thought it was a punishment horses got. Turns out she's been incorrectly using the phrase since the 90s in various settings
