Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

Listening to Guided By Voices today. It seems that a lot of people who like other bands I like also really like GBV, but thus far they’ve not clicked for me.
But it’s been awhile since I’ve listened to them and there’s an awful lot I’ve not heard (41 albums released!)

Welp, the diagnosis is that it’ll take $600 to repair a seven year old laptop, so I guess I’ll be shopping for a new laptop soon.
I’m contemplating putting together a Linux machine. It’s been many, many, years, but that used to be my daily driver.
