He backtracks all the time when people stand up to him. Democrats still not understanding this is wild.
Something we know about Donald Trump: he rarely backtracks unless there's something in it for him to gain personally.
US Senator Ron Wyden asked for a detailed account of Trump’s acceptance of a Rolex table clock and gold bar from Swiss businessmen shortly before slashing tariffs he previously imposed on Switzerland

It’s good, actually, that PPB will be forced to turn over docs that potentially implicate ICE.

At some point tolerating this bad faith rage vomit is its own kind of complicity. If you know me, and you organize with these people, lose my number.

Is there any way to make democrats actually pay for their impotence other than just handing the country to republicans?

Literally no one wants Kotek for governor except the entrenched Dems who know her personally and will get their head pats when she wins. The whole state party needs to be burned to the ground so we can start over.

this is a fake problem. no one is saying this to regular, offline people who are coming around. they’re saying it to people who are engaged in professional political analysis who committed professional malpractice by scolding people who saw what was coming.

no, those people shouldn’t get a break.
Bluesky idea: if people who didn't agree with you change their opinions so that they do agree with you, why not be happy that you are making progress - rather than complaining that they are "only just catching up"?

And while I’m here - the targeted harassment of Angelita Morillo over this is a choice. It’s giving 'performative allyship' mixed with a heavy dose of racism.

Oh hey friends, if you’re a Verizon customer and they are trying to give you the $20 desire for the outage the other day, DO NOT TAKE IT. You don’t have to even call them. Get onto the web chat, type in “agent”, tell them the outage affected your work, and say you’ve been a customer for X years.

I have the utmost respect for Senator Kaine and Senator Warner but we do not need “coaching” on redistricting coming from a cuck chair in the corner. How about you all stay focused on the fascist in the White House and let us handle redistricting in Virginia. 10-1

“As a free press remains under attack at the federal level, Ryan's comments are a stark warning that efforts to chill a free press are a threat to democracy anywhere.”
Portland City Councilor Dan Ryan blamed the press after taking heat for choosing not to address the contents of a story published in the Mercury the day prior.

The gaslighting and manipulation from the conservatives on city council today put me into that mood that’s full of angry energy but doesn’t result in actually doing anything. I’m gonna try to cultivate this kind of moral clarity and focused, productive anger instead.
Hateful people like Brian Owendoff and Ciatta Thompson are responsible for the bogus attempts at undermining peacock. It’s telling that Ciatta Thompson was next in line for public comment but cancelled. Bigots get caught spewing hateful rhetoric and half our council silently supports them

I didn’t vote for progressives so that they could hand power to conservatives. This is annoying verging on infuriating.
