The cruelty is the point

This administration has turned unlawful murder, lacking due process, into a video game, harvesting karma on socials. The sheer depravity. Words fail me

Lidar stopped being prohibitively expensive 5 years ago but Elon kept lying about it because he made a bad decision and people refuse to stop repeating the lie.

This just seems like blatant, unwarranted cruelty. Truckers make so little $$$ as it is - why are they attacking an industry that no one is talking about - no one is focused on? This will just increase inflation and prices for consumers. @#)(*#$@~

Burry: $TSLA is ridiculously overvalued

"The Elon cult was all-in on electric cars until competition showed up, then all-in on autonomous driving until competition showed up, and now is all-in on robots — until competition shows up."

144 and 441 are mirror images of each other. A fun fact is that the same is true of their square roots 12 and 21.

you don't have to embarrass our guest by asking if he had someone killed and hacked to pieces
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

MAGA brought back saying "Merry Christmas" - which should be all the gift anyone needs!

#Murica
Fox guest on how to save money during the holidays:

"Remember, adults don't need gifts. Focus on the people in your life who are aged 3 to 18. Grandma doesn't need slippers. If they don't live by you, don't get them a gift."

Key information from this story: "humans generally have a crash, whether they are at fault or not, every 700,000 miles. Tesla has 7 in probably ~300,000 miles."

Tesla robotaxis get in crashes at 16 times the rate of human drivers.
“.. Tesla’s current Robotaxi crash rate .. is about 2x higher than Waymo’s, despite in-car supervisors that prevent an unknown number of crashes.”

Think of your favorite celebrity, whether they’re an actor, musician, athlete, whatever.

They’re probably pretty well-off, financially. But they are still closer to auctioning off their possessions to cover medical bills than they are to being a billionaire.
James Van Der Beek is auctioning off ‘Dawson’s Creek’ and ‘Varsity Blues’ merchandise to pay for his cancer treatments.

Despairing and unsurprising. Tyvm @aywarhiannon.bsky.social for drawing attention to her plight.

This cruel administration. Forsaking process for tariffs, spending, extrajudicial killings, etc. while relying on process and bureacracy to detain Leqaa for months despite judicial demands for release.
This week’s episode is an interview with two lawyers who represent Leqaa Kordia, a young Palestinian woman who is in ICE detention for protesting genocide.

The number of local parents I have met that fits into this category is maddening. (Even more so w/my partner, who is a teacher for which this math-centric madness is often the norm, rather than the exception)
Shitty parenting from the Silicon Valley set. Never occurred to me to tell my math gifted son that he could be an asshole since he was good with numbers.

So many questions

First, something strangely compelling about the criminal who "gets away" by literally driving into another country.

Second - evading police for over 150 miles? 150 MILES?! Seems rather lacking on behalf of the boys in blue.

Piece de resistance: the getaway was in a MINIVAN.
A woman stole a minivan on Monday and led police on a chase for hours across Southern California, swerving around spike strips before escaping across the Mexico border. The dramatic pursuit spanned four counties and reached speeds of 90 miles per hour.
