My car is still set to show temps in Celsius & it’s supposed to get super cold here this weekend (overnight.)

I picked up a friend this evening and she panicked at the sight of the temp listed in my car.
That led to a long convo re: converting between C & F and…

I’m not made to do math at 11pm

There’s enough going on in the world and in my life that I really don’t have time to be worried about frozen pipes on top of everything else.

Why is it gonna be so cold for the next two weeks?

Is it time for spring yet?

It would probably be a bad idea to make myself a latte right now wouldn’t it

A coworker brought in Japanese curry today to share with us all…. And wow. First of all it’s delicious. Second of all, it’s so perfect for a fridgidly cold and snowy day.

No earthquakes.
No alligators.
No tsunamis.
No giant insects.
(Almost) no poisonous snakes.

I put my Christmas tree up very early this year, but never got around to decorating it.

I finally, just now, took down my undecorated tree.

Please clap.

I’m taking steroids for a medical thing, and experiencing almost all the side effects.

Last night, I thought to myself “at least I’m not experiencing the mood swings or emotional stuff”

I proved myself wrong on that front this morning.

I need noise-cancelling headphones, but for my brain.

It’s time for another round of “what new thing is Sandra allergic to and reacting majorly from?”

Is it the poinsettia I got before Christmas?

I don’t think I have a latex allergy, and I’ve had poinsettias in the past, but who knows what my body is up to this winter!

The “Canadian tears” commercial for the Olympics brings me so much joy. The fact Americans are THIS intimidated by our superior hockey playing is delightful.

I'm at some sort of weird point in my life where I both don't particularly want to do anything tonight but also am worried that I should be doing something tonight

February will mark 7 years living in Michigan…
… and the past few times I go home, I really hear the Canadian “about” and it makes me so happy whenever I do.
People probably wonder why I smirk at random times… but Canadians sound so wonderful.

Seriously curious about this important question:

Who is the cooler (not word play this time) princess, Elsa or Anna?

Is there an app solely for keeping track of what cheesy holiday rom coms you’ve watched? Every season I can’t tell if I’ve seen them or if it’s just a new exact same movie… and I wanna keep track!

I went to another location of this store today: free coffee, beautiful plants, hot soups, and so so so many more reasons to love this place.
Aka I just spent too much money.
I don't want to boast (yes I do) but my (former) hometown is better than yours!

Easily my favorite spot: Horrocks. This is the bar / eating area where you can take the hard cider or wine or soup or salad or pizza or sushi or sandwich or baked goods you've bought in-store and just enjoy the vibes.

This. I fell in love with something last week and went back stock up this week and it’s “out for the rest of the season” and it makes me so sad.
I love Trader Joe’s so much but they will give you your favorite thing you’ve ever eaten and then when you come back to buy it again 2 days later tell you “That was seasonal for the first Tuesday in December”

Some of you are so great at sending holiday cards etc, and I love receiving them from many of you in past years!

I have changed addresses this year, and don’t want to miss any greeting you may be sending my way - so if I’m in your list and you don’t have my new address, let me know!

Currently super thankful to my coworker, who knowing that I’ve been sicker than a dog all week made me a pot of chicken and rice soup.

When I moved, where did I put my cold medicines and thermometers?

I chose a random book that was available on Libby for my drive to Canada this weekend.
I’m loving and devouring it… and will have it done tomorrow.

Good news - it has a sequel!

Bad news - the sequel is not available for 8 weeks.

Anyway, suggestions for a book for my way home?

Overheard at work today:

“Is a 200 pounds of sugar kind of day”

It may or may not be a bit busy at the bakery this week.

I’m the weirdo who likes my house warm (and hates being cold)… but I hosted friendsgiving tonight and some of my friends run very hot, so I dropped the temp substantially and cracked the patio door.
Now everyone has gone home and I’m just asking how long until I’m warm again?

Please clap for me.

I just returned stuff to the store one day before the return period was done, when I really just wanted to go take a nap.

I am so brave.
