The United States is behaving like a rogue state. The President has carried out an illegal act of war, kidnapped a foreign head of state, and is now threatening military action against NATO allies. This is a constitutional crisis.

Impeachment must be on the table.

With our values in one hand and fresh ideas in the other, let's build a new New Zealand.

We'll make it a place where everyone gets the basics they need to contribute.

We'll fund with a tax system that rewards work instead of weatherboards.

In an economy where business, nature *and* people thrive.

It seems Venezuela is only the first name on the list of countries Trump wants to colonize. From Cuba to Columbia to Mexico to Greenland, he's on a roll unless someone stands up to him. www.transformarticles.com/p/was-venezu...
WAS VENEZUELA JUST THE BEGINNING?
Perhaps.

A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.

The Trump regime’s idea of national security is the US dominating and controlling the western hemisphere. He wants unrestricted access to sovereign nations, full access to their resources, and most of all compliance.

He’s out of his fucking mind if he thinks the world is simply going to allow this.

America has not always been good - far from it - but at our best we at least tried to be. It totally shifts the world that from now on, as long as this administration is in power, we’re a rogue country with no allegiance to a rules-based world order. 3/

The United States is a rogue actor throwing the world into disarray. It hosts war criminal Netanyahu, sanctions ICC and European officials, launches strikes around the world, and now kidnaps foreign leaders.

Western allies need to stop it if they truly believe in human rights and international law.

The US attack on Venezuela is plainly illegal; it violates the UN Charter, there was no Congressional approval, and there was clearly no immediate threat justifying action in self-defence. It will now be used as post-hoc justification for imperialist regimes around the world.

If the House Republicans had any guts, they'd hold an emergency impeachment vote on Trump today.
If the Senate Republicans had any guts, they'd convict Trump of violating the Constitution tomorrow.
The Constitution means nothing it if it can be ignored with impunity.

Every war from Korea to Iraq and Afghanistan, though without a formal declaration of war, had congressional authorization, and even those conflicts were extremely hazy in their legality. Trump has no constitutional right to attack Venezuela. None. He is an illegitimate war criminal.

Even if Trump’s attack on Venezuela and kidnapping of Maduro somehow led to a positive impact on Venezuela’s future, it would not make these actions by the United States legal, moral or wise.

Normalising and legitimising this behaviour endangers all countries - democracies and dictatorships alike.

Trump has invaded Venezuela and started a war without Congressional authorization. This is illegal. Not maybe illegal, not legal gray area; unconstitutional and illegal, black and white. Congress needs to remove Trump from office now, or the American people need to mobilize #generalstrike

The US has launched an unprovoked and illegal attack on Venezuela.

This is a brazen attempt to secure control over Venezuelan natural resources.

It is an act of war that puts the lives of millions of people at risk, and should be condemned by anyone who believes in sovereignty & international law.

Trump voters have turned the most powerful country in the world - the longtime leader of the democratic West - into a violent rogue state.

In doing so, they have smashed any semblance of international law and order.

This ‘might is right’ world MAGA have inflicted upon us endangers all of humanity.

Whatever you might think of Maduro, the seizure and kidnapping of a head of state takes us to a very dark place. Vast, arbitrary, extra-legal power, which could be exercised almost anywhere, regardless of the character of the target government.

Peace as a mission connects domestic renewal with global responsibility – and serves as the potential engine for economic transformation.
