Yeah, Canada is officially a constitutional monarchy. The monarch is the same as the monarch of all the Commonwealth realms, but the Monarchy of Canada is a separate institution to the Monarchy of the UK. Same with Australia, New Zealand, etc.

It's glaringly obvious that these morons can't accept that women would be good at anything, and so need to have it "proven" to nebulously defined & arbitrary standards that a mere girl could be capable. I've never seen such constant demands for male characters to prove themselves.
