I can't stop thinking about this bookstore in Eureka Springs. I believe it's the only one, but I could be wrong. It's downtown. We walked in and a stern woman greeted us to tell us we weren't allowed to use our phones or take pictures. OK! Wasn't planning on it?

Driving down 20th with all of the garbage bars. They're all decked out in inflatable Christmas characters and running their sprinkler fans at the same time. I can't get into any sort of holiday spirit with this goddamned heat, but the idiots don't let climate change bother them.

It was a full 10 degrees above normal on our vacation this week and we’re coming home to an 87 degree November day. We’re on a runaway train to hell.
Now that the Sept and Oct data are (belatedly) in, it looks like 2025 will be the second warmest year in the record (~80% probability). The last three years are in a class of their own.
