My precious dog Tibby passed away last week. He was 15 years old and it was time . My son’s girlfriend made this video for me and it’s lovely.

The Murder Khashoggi Warned Us About

Jamal Khashoggi wasn’t just a journalist. He was a warning. And the world turned away.

He was investigating a chain of corruption that went straight from the halls of the Trump White House to the palace of Mohammed bin Salman.

But wait, there's freaking MORE!

SH*T!
Montage of 19 clips of Trump insulting, berating, demeaning and attacking female reporters over the past few months. Part 1.

Not sure you selfish oafs realize that on smaller planes, they seat the First Class passengers like Mr Duffy first and then file the rest of the plane past them.

Seeing your impoverished peasant clothing as you waddle past on the way to wherever planes stack poor people really ruins his champagne.

A theme of the Hallett report is that decisionmakers routinely underestimated the ability of the public to deal with complexity & accept hard trade-offs.

It's a problem that continues to plague our politics. One lesson of the pandemic is surely that we can have more honest conversations with voters

Ban the existence of billionaires.

I'd cap the wealth any individual could accumulate in a lifetime at, say, £20m.

We must end billionaires before billionaires end all of us.
When we had billionaires like Gates that funded charity we were relaxed about them. But some of us warned you: it's still just one man's whim. He could defund the work instantly. Musk proves the point. The way to ensure billionaires' money isn't used for ill is through taxation

Boris Johnson killing 23,000 people during Covid should be the only story for the next month.

It should presage a full police inquiry, a criminal prosecution, & the first incarceration of a British prime minister.

Instead, everyone will be talking about Trump again tomorrow, & the budget, & the..

Let's not forget he lied about the necessity for FFP3/N95 masking, Old People's Homes and HEPA ventilation for public buildings, even though they made sure Parliament was OK. So, instead of Australian and New Zealands casualty ratios, he murdered many needlessly.

Shabana Mahmood's Indefinite Leave To Remain Culture War

3 years - if you're earning £125k+

15 years - if you're e.g. a nurse, or a teacher

Labour's two tier system which rewards high earners and insults those who work just as hard but don't earn as much - really sad to see Labour fall

Ploughing through this and is Mahmood really that shocked that her policies are being endorsed by the far right? The language alone, such as describing the last government's hideous policies as "open borders" contains enough dog whistles to set every one of them in the country barking.
Government has today published its consultation into "earned settlement", the forward alone contains a hot mess of misrepresentation of the current system by the Home Secretary. I would strongly urge anyone affected by the current system to respond.
