I feel this so hard in my old rattling writer bones. 😅
I feel bad for the writers trying to break in now, especially when YA and kidlit in general are so daunting.
But here’s what I believe as someone who just sold two books after a three-year hiatus:

Writersky: I wrote so many books before I sold my first, I was in my 60s before I had my first hit, you have time, it’s never too late, keep the faith 😊
Also Writersky: Your debut needs to be a hit or you’re fucked, you need to write your second book in a year or you’re fucked, we’re all fucked
