today a gigantic moose slept then snacked in our front yard in Anchorage Alaska for 5.5 hours. what an amazing animal - & so magnificent. our dog Johannes was curious but quiet. what an honor. We all need a dose of goodness these days. keep speaking out against cruelty & tyranny.

When I lived in LA 97-99 (and you may recall this @davidjroth.bsky.social), Rob Reiner led the smoking ban in bars. I couldn’t believe bars could exist without cigs. And I don’t even smoke.
He kickstarted all of it. I still go to bars. I never have to Febreez my clothes.

I worked for Castle Rock Entertainment for two years and was in and out of Mr. Reiner’s office on a daily basis. He was always gracious. The devastating news of his and his wife’s deaths (and possible murders) has shocked me to my core.

Interviewed Rob Reiner over a decade ago. Told him, truthfully, I heard from crew people he was one of the best directors to work with in terms of being nice, knowing everyone's job, etc. He told me, "A movie is like a fish: it stinks from the head down." Will always remember that.
