Another oustanding article from @marisakabas.bsky.social. This administration's blatant disregard for the law has no end.
SCOOP—In August, nearly 200 current/former FEMA staffers published the Katrina Declaration, a whistleblower letter detailing all the dangers posed by current leadership.

All current employees were put on indefinite leave, and now I've learned one has been fired in violation of federal protections:
FEMA employee terminated for signing whistleblower letter
It appears to be a major violation of federal whistleblower protections and constitutional rights.

To be clear Lizza’s story is that Nuzzi sat on important matters of national significance for personal benefit and he’s sat on these details until he could personally benefit.

All of DC media needs to be thrown into the sea. Anyone who defends these people is a goddamn clown.

Republicans should stop wasting their time worrying about Democrats and focus on their own problems.

As Laura Ingraham said last night: the midterms look ugly right now unless Republicans really get serious.

Brett Kavanaugh should have to face each and every U.S. citizen who has been kidnapped and/or detained, and he should have to sit there silent and listen to their stories.
An 18yo US citizen, surrounded by eight masked, armed agents of the state, taken into custody, not read his rights, not offered a chance to contact a lawyer, proof of citizenship ignored, handcuffed so tightly he later required medical attention.

Profoundly, profoundly anti-American shit.

Reuters reached out to everyone that Trump or his subordinates singled out publicly for retribution, and reviewed hundreds of official orders, directives and public records. The result: the most comprehensive accounting yet of his campaign of payback.

This would normally mean impeachment and charges, but she is safe with the spineless cowards in the Congressional majority.
NEW:

The DOJ tells Judge James Boasberg that Kristi Noem made the decision that flights that had departed should continue on to El Salvador, in contravention of the court’s orders.
BREAKING:

“After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador. “

Kristi Noem should be impeached and face charges for this. It is yet another blatant example of disrespecting Kurt orders.

Good grief, @mayor.lacity.gov. Your police department is WORKING FOR ICE?????
Extraordinary work here from the @oversightdemocrats.house.gov.
Andrea is one of over 170 U.S. citizens who have detained by ICE. It should never have happened, and we will hold Kristi Noem and the Trump Administration accountable.

ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.

The military has a duty to refuse unlawful orders, but Congress has a duty to remove from office a president and secretary who would issue such orders. There is something off about members of Congress talking about the former while refusing to say the latter, the part that's actually their job here.

Today, after months of requests, I toured the Broadview ICE Processing Facility. I want to share what I saw.

The facility has no food vendor, no medical care, and detainees have to use toilets in the middle of shared cells. These are in no way suitable conditions to be holding anyone — period.
