The NSF Bio Anthro Program DDRIG, Cultural Anthrpology DDRIG, and Archaeology DDRIG have all been archived (as of yesterday afternoon). Please speak with your grad students and plan accordingly. To say I am angry and depressed about this is an understatement.

In case anyone is wondering they are really, truly arguing that if too many women are in a field it will "erode" but only in some cases because reasons. It's maybe OK if we have too many female veterinarians but not, heaven forbid, historians.

The children long for a female protagonist with a braid and magical powers singing a queer coded "don't hide your true self away" anthem.
(I am very glad the kiddo didn't see KPDH until about two weeks ago so I was able to side step making a costume for Halloween but it is now on deck for Purim.)

We should never forget that this synagogue was targeted specifically because of their work with HIAS on refugee rights. Seven years later, we should honor their legacy by fighting antisemitism, but also by continuing to do the work of supporting refugee resettlement and migrant rights.
Seven years ago today, 11 Jewish people were murdered at the Tree of Life Congregation, a synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In their names, we will continue to stand up against hate, bigotry and the rise in antisemitism taking place around the country. May their memories be for a blessing.
