There was a time when 90% of Americans would have understood how deranged in every conceivable way a post like this is

I mean if you showed this to any American in 2001 they wouldn't even understand what they were looking at or what sort of deranged creature could possibly speak like this in public

Susan Collins and other Republicans had high hopes.
Collins stated "he learned his lesson" yup he learned all right.
Now it's the "Moderate Democrats" at the bat.
If you witness a person burning their fingers on a hot stove, why would you touch it yourself?
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"

Perception in politics is reality ! When Schumer was showing he had a spine & standing up to Clorox Don Democrats WON in landslide elections at the ballot box. Now that he surrendered based upon a promise made by LIARS, he appears weak & feckless. Schumer & these other 'feckers' need to go away.

Chuck (Neville Chamberlain) Schumer;
"Peace in our Times"
One of two things is true:

1. Chuck Schumer genuinely felt this is a bad deal, so he voted against it, but he couldn't keep Senate Dems in line because he's a lackluster leader.

OR

2. Chuck Schumer orchestrated the shutdown deal w/ retiring Dems because he's a bad strategist and got rattled.

When you can’t afford healthcare, blame Democrats Dick Durbin and Jeanne Shaheen, who are both retiring. Blame Senators John Fetterman, and Maggie Hassan who are up for reelection in 2028, and Tim Kaine, Jacky Rosen and Angus King who are up in 2030. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

John Fetterman (PA)

Dick Durbin (IL)

Maggie Hassan (NH)

Catherine Cortez Masto (NV)

Jackie Rosen (NV)

Angus King (ME)

None of these people is up for election next year. COINCIDENCE?! I think NOT.

This is an outrage.

I saw a sentence in an article about how SNAP recipients are managing and it said someone was trying to decide if driving to a food pantry was worth the gas money. It really stuck with me and I can’t stop thinking about it. I am so angry and heartbroken. This country is just so shameful.

If Republicans couldn't hold up legislation, obstruct justice to protect Trump, sabotage Obamacare, help Trump destroy democracy, and had to stop inflicting unnecessary cruelty on people struggling to survive, what would they do with all their free time?

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.
