Cruel & inhumane- it shows how atrocities go ahead in plain sight at the hands of ordinary people, including those in bureaucratic jobs - presumably someone pressed send on the letter. Thinking of his family.

Infrastructure in UK cities after several years of cuts is an absolute embarrassment. Today I saw a child and an elderly person fall in icy pavements, and a working age neighbour off with a foot injury. At best, this shows a systemic short sighted way to govern. Another reading is deadly neglect.
