People who like #comics, maybe just #indiecomics, but definitely people who like #kickstarter comics. I made a feed for you! bsky.app/profile/ross...

I'm still ironing out the kinks, and it might end up costing too much to make it worthwhile, but please use it and buy more comics!

The meaning of words is to be decided not by their use, usefulness, or history, but by their commercial benefit to the most powerful lobby groups. I have a recipe for almond milk in a cookbook from 1226. It has been used as a term in English for hundreds of years.

I'd always figured the Sphinx was incredibly tall, but apparently the Kelpies are taller.

anyway, if anyone wants to recommend cool things to do in Ireland, I like history, museums, beautiful countryside, art, pottery ... honestly I feel a little spoiled for choice.

"Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand", by Primitive Radio Gods
Deleted a post about “what’s your least favorite song” because the vibes are bad enough already.

Instead: what’s your favorite song that has a long title, say at least 6 words long?

Mine: “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” (Pearl Jam)

I see people talking about using AI agents to book flights as if that's something done so regularly that it'll save loads of time.

Then I think about Ryanair detecting that you're using an agent and adding another fee for the privilege.

We didn't make it all the way through Happy Feet in the cinema for our second trip. There's a lot of "mild peril" in there.

Here we are in 2026 and the seemingly simple goal of finding a mobile app to scan books, find decent metadata, and create a collection is still too difficult.

Cars and TVs don't need jingles and dancing light sequences for switching on and off. What possible benefit is there to this?

With everything becoming a general purpose CPU but with wheels/a screen, product owners are just saying "Sure, why not?" instead of "No, that's pointless"

Sadly, it doesn't look like Oldboy is in the Wee Filmhouse section, so I don't think it's a kid friendly screening. He'll just have to put up with the louder volume.

In the last three days I've watched three films of my choice, start to finish without interruption. It's been a while.

And let me tell you, 28 Years Later, Monsters Inc, and then Bone Temple is a great run of movies.
