anyway, if anyone wants to recommend cool things to do in Ireland, I like history, museums, beautiful countryside, art, pottery ... honestly I feel a little spoiled for choice.

It’s the year 2026. I am at my dining room table, trying to work out the best way to rip CDs of the Grateful Dead using a download of a package called Max from 2020, because the long abandoned project abcde has stopped working on macos

I've found a 6 year old build of a package called Max which is allowing me to rip the CDs. I think I'm going to have to create a debian VM and rip CDs that way.

This also means I get to futz around with beancount and try to keep track of how much value I get out of the upfront cost. Cos, y'know, it's not a hobby if I don't write some custom code.

I just want a simple way to catalogue my book collection that I can self host. I might be able to do it with ryot and some scripts.

It's great, and it's been a huge hit with everyone. Cillian's even been doing a dance for the theme tune.
