filmmaker, writer, performer, learned my trade via cargo cult science
I've started a little film essay blog. My first piece is on why in the dying age of film criticism I had to be dragged kicking and screaming to do it. I love to write about films. I know the internet too well to do so.

or; How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love Making Content. Plus, a silly violent movie with a good cause and an elegy for Canadian animation!

David Lynch gave us the language we needed to better articulate the indescribable strangeness of our shared reality. “Lynchian” is so overused because it’s a viscerally understandable word without any known synonyms. I can’t imagine a more beautiful artistic legacy than that.

fun fact the only reason is Warner Bros. owns DC Comics is because in 1966 a mob-owned NJ parking lot company merged with an 1880s-founded house renovation service and went on a truly random string of acquisitions.

fun fact the man who writes all the conservative NYT headlines is a slime troll who lives in a poop cave and is paid exclusively in old bones.
The digital footprint of the man the police are considering a “strong person of interest” in the killing of the UnitedHealthcare CEO indicates that he has a background in the technology and video games industry, working for a number of tech companies over the past 10 years.
