To suggest that having lived a life so grim that even an English tribunal will grant you asylum, and to have somehow managed to get here at great risk to life, is a "golden ticket" is absolutely fucking contemptible. Shame on this so-called Labour Party.
No, I'd say it's racists and those pandering to them.

I've always worked really hard to protect myself and my family from COVID. I tried following public health recommendations for the first year, using cloth/surgical masks. We all caught COVID as a result.
Unfortunately, I've never recovered. Its been 5 long years.
I've learned a lot...
This!!!! I got covid for Christmas 2021 (despite only seeing 2 people during the holiday season), and ever since, I've had #LongCovid. It's 3 days from Christmas 2024, and it's still debilitating. I masked then and still do mask. Please - PLEASE - mask up when you're not feeling well!!
please mask and wash your hands and test if you don’t feel well. so many people are getting sick and getting others sick. stay home if you’re sick. exposing countless workers to illness so you can get your holiday shopping done or whatever is gross.

Was anyone consulted about this... Do most Europeans even know that Von der Leyen just made a massive u-turn by siding with the far-right to water down her own European Green deal policies? Does this signal that US politics are now driving the EU towards the abyss?

Far right cheers as von der Leyen’s party abandons centrist coalition over green rules
It marks a dramatic departure from previous EU norms, where centrist groups refused to collaborate with the far right.

When the government decided to let COVID-19 loose, they decided at that exact same time to do two things.

Make life difficult and lonely for elderly and disabled people.

Kill elderly and disabled people by playing dress up and pretend it’s 2019, because we want to be “kind”.

So either Labour need to ask candidates to step aside for the Greens to take on Reform....

Or actually bring in a fair democratic process where everyone's votes count equally.

3 things Starmer could do instead of camps in old barracks that would actually WORK👇

1. Create safe, regulated routes to apply for asylum in the UK

2. Let asylum seekers WORK & support themselves

3. Fast track status for people from obviously unsafe countries
