I'm Rob! I've been on a Transformers podcast for 15 years and have been YouTubing for 11 or 12 I think. I mostly cover Gundam games these days, especially #GBO2, and love robot toys and models as well as action figures in general. I'm cranky when people get hurt for fun & profit.

Still waiting for those big protests to materialize outside Schumer, Durbin, etc's offices for bargaining away the lives of 50K+ Americans a year and for the calls for their immediate resignation to get loud and widespread.

We haven't lived in a free country with a functional press for my entire adult lifetime. People get their lives ruined for factual reporting on powerful people. Stories just die on the vine, in the open, and nothing fucking happens to the people who killed them.

It's a very useful example of why the press has been useless throughout Trump's political career. Even when they're not busy actively helping him, they won't protect themselves or each other from a whimpering Nazi child pimp, let alone the public they're allegedly the first line of defense for.
For me it's the way the press pool just quietly went along with it because he's the president

I remember the Ken Burns Jazz documentary where he talks about a musician who thought his audience should prepare as much he did. A member of the Marsalis family responded "That's self-indulgent bullshit. I don't go out and catch a couple of fly balls before I watch a baseball game."
This is very true. As an artist, you don't get to dictate how people engage with your art. That is arrogant and egotistical.
in 2026 i would love to see cartoonists collectively let go of the resentment that "comics take years to make and moments to read." 🙏 the contrast in time creating vs time experiencing is true of all art. why complain that someone read your work? Chill out and enjoy meeting a reader on the page.

If we hadn't dismantled all the protections against such things I can't help but think this would be some type of fraud.

I don't know if the story about Samsung putting spyware on their phones is true or not, but since my A14 is close to not being able to hold both games I play on it at once, and has developed this fun personality tic of alerting me to texts that it then refuses to download in order, if at all...

It's not a foolproof plan but every political debate from now on should be a Normal Guy competition. Ask them to describe grocery shopping in detail. Talk about what it's like to have a friend

I'd like to think McBride was smart enough to stand up for herself and other trans people because she saw that with Democratic leadership otherwise still pretending that trans rights don't win elections despite a goddamn landslide in their favor to the contrary, nobody else was going to.
