Friends!

I'm Naz and I write horror/spec/literary fic often emphasizing diaspora & Armenian characters.

36 stories published with more slated at Deadlands, Pleiades, Crow & Cross Keys, a TBA anthology, & elsewhere.

Working on my debut novel!

Would you please share and help me find the folks?

Grappling with some serious existential & financial angst today. Friendly reminder I've got two fun books with big ideas out that cool readers seem to really enjoy. Would love for you to check 'em out, too
As a debut indie author, I’m really grateful to have found the readers I have with these two books. Would be honored to have them considered alongside 2025’s other great new releases!

It’s been about a year on and off reading DON QUIXOTE but I’m gonna try to finish the last 300 pages this go round.

Reading KING SORROW by @joe-hill.bsky.social and just came across a deep SK pull! Love a son and his father sharing worlds.

My son handed me the first page of his film script. Entitled “Alec Meets Stephen King,” I’m delighted by his use of “damn it” near the bottom edge.

Beloved community, can we somehow get @stephenking.bsky.social to clap his eyes on this? I think we can!

With Halloween right around the corner, I thought I'd reshare my horror story from earlier this year in Twin Pies. THE GREAT DARK is a story about children, the bonds they make and the dark shadows cast on their lives by forces they cannot understand:

Thought this morning, "Hmm, what should I read next? How about 'SALEM'S LOT!" Took it down from the shelf, pretty as you please. Two minutes later I learn today is the 50th anniversary. Dig that King shine, man!

Two years ago and a day, there I was at Stephen King’s manor in Bangor. Such an awesome time, and a wonderful tour provided by SK Tours. I remember watching Flanagan’s USHER series in my cabin and reading Barker’s THE GREAT AND SECRET SHOW. A lovely trip.

No one has to read your writing for you to be a writer. Writing for the joy of writing is time well-spent, no matter what happens to the project after it's finished (or even if it's finished). Spending time making art (grand art, meaningful art, silly art) is one of the best parts of being human.
Tell me your most life-affirming literary opinion.

My six year old son wants to be John Williams for Halloween and so naturally I will be his Steven Spielberg. Quite a leap from last year’s Jack Skellington/Oogie Boogie, and greater still from the Mario/Luigi of two Halloweens ago.
