Long Covid, MECFS, ADHD, etc.

Patient-led research is my jam.

A bit obsessed with GIP.
The flushing has greatly diminished as I've gotten my MCAS under control. At the same time my joints also ache SIGNIFICANTLY less, so the cartilage connection for me seems relevant.

I get something similar, but it usually starts at my ears before moving to my face. I think it's sort of a pseudo Red Ear Syndrome. But so far I only have MCAS flaring up and erroneously tagging cartilage as a villain.

I've always wanted a tattoo, but was worried about how my "sensitive skin" would react. Now, in middle age, I know about MCAS and wonder if I can ever get it settled down enough to get one?

The Singularitarian fantasists who want us to elevate machines to consciousness are not interested in the happiness of all beings.

They want to degrade the biological body to a mere vessel, one they can discard. It's bunk theology for men who believe they're too smart and special to die.

The way the public views type 1 diabetes as a mere hassle that can be endured by the spiritually pure, and not a certain death sentence without a robust infrastructure of hormone treatment, is analogous to how cis people view trans hormone therapies.

Babies babbling in sign language is one of my favorite things.

We know now that the brain processes visual & spoken language the same way. Babbling in sign is one of the stages deaf babies go through & it's adorable.

I keep having people tell me "oh, don't worry, this is just allergies!" when they are obviously ill.

I always wear a mask outside of the house because usually it isn't allergies and I can't afford to lose any functionality and drop my baseline further.
