This morning Larry Abbott, 2024 Brain Prize winner, delivered a plenary lecture at #ECNP2025. It was a stunning example of how reconstruction of neural circuits at synapse resolution can provide fundamental insights into mechanisms of circuit computation.

Interesting how companies and the financial world is racing to spend mindboggling amounts of money to build the infrastructure to train computers. But we are leaving the infrastructure to train and educate humans crumbling. The question is who will train who?
Missing #EDRC2025, but the lab will be giving three talks: Ibo on the taste and feeding connectome on Friday at 15:00; Silvia on the microbiome and metabolic stress on Saturday at 10:30; and Rita on identifying the structure of metabolism at single-cell resolution in the same session. Enjoy!
