This piece makes the Donald’s dementia clear. “Trump Derangement Syndrome” has never been an affliction of other people. It is the eponymous malady suffered by the man, himself, and named for him.

Well, Don, they couldn't convince a magistrate judge or federal appeals judge to hold you, but you've cleared the "ham sandwich" threshold and a secret grand jury would like to see more of you. Stay strong, man. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/30/u...

Lotta shouting abt new vid of Alex Pretti breaking ICE car taillight. Perfect example why thugs not trained LEOs.

If Alex damaged govt property it’s a crime. Cite him, arrest him, whatever like real cops.

Instead they beat the crap out of him. Not law enforcement, not peacekeeping. Pure thuggery

Marco Rubio plays the Stupid card again. Says US troops in the region at facilities within range of Iranian missiles, ergo we need more assets to protect existing troops.

Why not have other friendlies in region take bigger defense role. LIKE YOU’RE DOING TO NATO? And bring back US troops.

Steph Curry on watching the protests from his hotel window: "In negative 10-degree weather. It was beautiful to see that turnout. That speaks to how important people felt to have their voice heard. In those elements and whatever streets outside our hotel, they were out, and it was amazing to watch."

Senate Dems needn’t come to agreement on everything right now. That’s a path to the lowest common denominator. They simply have to agree to filibuster DHS approps. As to which of a host of anti-brutality and anti-authoritarian proposals to advance, let a thousand flowers bloom.

Too far away? Boo hoo! You went to Davos, Switzerland. Come to sunny California, Donny boy. Get out of the cold and ICEy weather on the east coast.

Or are you afraid we might boo the hell out of your every appearance? Got that right. Cluck, cluck.

A huge plurality of world leaders, probably representing a majority of the world’s population, and a majority of American voters all oppose trump for various reasons. Yet, he has us all caught by our short hairs.

Why?

No sanctuary in ICE churches. No shelter for ICE supporters (much less leaders who are pastors) in hallowed spaces.

Parishioners must feel the rage and impact of the American majority. They cannot go on as in normal times.

These are not Christian times and bowing in a church cannot hide that.

So disappointing to hear Gen Wesley Clark, Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, speak on CNN Situation Room in such bromides about the fat man’s lust for Greenland.

You have a moral code, sir. You have a platform. You have experience and credibility. Use them.

Speak out against madness. Please

NONVIOLENCE IS THREATENING!

When MN Gov Tim Walz exhorts Minnesotans to film ICE actions & call friends to protest peacefully and insult ICE soldiers (all protected actions), it threatens ICE they will be identified and held accountable. This is not obstruction, it’s dissuasion. And it’s working!

The Kennedy Center is a microcosm of the worldwide trump effect. It took decades of work for the US to EARN the trust, confidence, and cooperation of other nations in the world. And trump is pissing it all away in a year. His legacy will be our lost moral authority. We must rebuild, starting now.

But of course! The ICE agent standing with his finger on the trigger saying “Stop or I’ll shoot!” is a tiny example of Might-Makes-Right. No different than the fat man taking Venezuela oil Because-He-Can. There’s a mental through-line here.
Add to this list BBC Verify and several European newspapers, unanimously reaching the same conclusion. It's a serious test of the Trump MAGA lie-machine.
For those keeping score, Bellingcat, The New York Times Visual Investigation Team, & Washington Post's Visual Forensic team have all published analysis showing the ICE shooter wasn't in the path of Renee Nicole Good’s vehicle when he shot her, contradicting statements by the President & his cronies

Americans are frustrated. We expect laws evolve from shared expectations, customs. ICE actions have grown outside the laws, as we expect them. We protest to reestablish a broken connection between common moral values and official laws. Disgusting when rightwing pols use legal defense for ICE actions
It's also factually wrong. According to polling, Americans do not approve of ICE and do not support Trump's deportations. The 2024 election was not an up-or-down vote on a $1.3 trillion ICE budget
In 1933 a plurality of Germans voted for the NSDAP -- winning an election doesn't make your actions moral.

I want to see the perp held personally accountable. Strip away the anonymity, his mask, and misused authority. He is a human being emboldened by trappings of power to think he can kill without consequence. Apply that fabled long arm of justice to him, which he did not grant to Ms. Good.
This is exactly what I told someone yesterday.

Even if I spot you the first shot (I shouldn’t, but let’s go with that), shots 2 and 3 were inexcusable and this officer will lose his case if it ever goes to court.
