Republicans forced the longest government shutdown in American history AND tried to deny SNAP benefits to 42 million people during the shutdown. While Republicans were focused on cruelty, I was fighting w/ everything I had to release SNAP funding & support our children, elders, & disabled neighbors.

Republicans are voting today to further dismantle the social safety net, but the fight does not end with this vote. You elected me to represent and fight for you, and that is exactly what I will continue to do. Our communities demand, and deserve, better.

@oversightdemocrats.house.gov passed a motion to subpoena the Epstein files in the name of truth, justice, and accountability. Today, we find ourselves one step closer to that truth.

Newly released emails reveal Trump spent hours with a survivor in Epstein's home.

Release the files, now.

Today I will vote NO on the continuing resolution.

Our communities demand, & deserve, better. They deserve health care they can afford & a government that functions. This continuing resolution is another false choice from a Republican majority that can only govern through fear, chaos, and cruelty.

Time and again, Speaker Emerita Pelosi has stood courageously in the storm to defend democracy and uplift those most in need.

She reminds us daily that governance is a moral act, and that we have a communal obligation to continue to repair the breach that has taken root in this country.

California disbursed November SNAP benefits late last week. Now, Trump is demanding that states claw back those funds.

This President is weaponizing food assistance and manufacturing chaos so that he can force his will onto the American public.

California says hell no.

At a time when millions of Americans can’t put food on the table & are being forced to work for no pay, Speaker Johnson’s refusal to bring the House of Representatives back into session is unacceptable. Republicans in Congress must immediately return to D.C. & get back to work for the people. (1/2)

Trump has forced airlines to cut 10% of flights at 40 airports across the nation, including at OAK. This means longer lines, delays, and flight cancellations for travelers and even more stress on our essential airport personnel who have now gone 41 days without pay. (1/3)
What to know if your travel plans are impacted by the FAA’s flight cancellations
Airlines are scaling back flights at dozens of major U.S. airports to ease the pressure on air traffic controllers.

As a mother and widow who has been deeply affected by the American medical system, I will NOT vote for a funding bill that does not extend ACA subsidies.

Republicans are holding Americans’ health care hostage, we must demand a funding bill that keeps health care affordable and accessible.

A judge ordered Trump to disburse SNAP benefits. Then turned around and appealed that decision, denying millions of people food and creating more confusion.

Let's be clear, while Trump throws lavish parties for his billionaire friends he is CHOOSING to cut off SNAP for 42M people across the country.

The President is playing with people's lives.

The law requires AND courts have ordered that the President disburse SNAP benefits. Yet, he continues to act above the law and use the American people as bargaining chips… (1/2)
President Trump threatened on social media on Tuesday to deny SNAP benefits until the end of the government shutdown, a move that would defy a federal court that had ordered his administration to continue the aid payments this month.
