This Congress, there's been a disturbing rise in the use of dehumanizing anti-trans rhetoric, including slurs, by US Representatives.

That's why today, @mcbride.house.gov & @repmarktakano.bsky.social led 213 Members demanding Speaker Johnson condemn this rhetoric & enforce House rules of decorum.
Thank you to the @victoryinstitute.bsky.social for having Chair @repmarktakano.bsky.social come and talk about his and the Equality Caucus’s work fighting for LGBQI+ equality, including how we’re fighting back against anti-equality attacks by Trump and the GOP.

Had a great conversation with LGBTQI+ creators.

With more than 10 million followers between them, their work is critical to getting our message out and driving this movement forward.

Let’s keep fighting for our rights!

This week, for the first time since the 1980s, the U.S. did not commemorate #WorldAIDSDay. That's simply wrong.

Now and always, I’ll honor the millions lost to HIV, and fight to restore funding for research, prevention & care—because #CutsKill and our communities deserve better.

Meanwhile, Trump has slashed funding for science and research across the country. We must restore this funding to save lives. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...

Since he took office, Trump has made devastating cuts to HIV funding—and House Republicans' initial HHS funding bill goes further by cutting ALL funding for HIV prevention programs in the U.S. Our members are committed to preventing these cuts from becoming law.

The fight to end the HIV & AIDS epidemics doesn't end when #WorldAIDSDay comes to a close.

Our members are committed to fighting back against the Trump Administration's reckless cuts to HIV prevention, research, and care—because we know that #CutsKill.

Earlier this year, Donald Trump, with the help of Elon Musk, gutted worldwide HIV/AIDS funding. These cuts came as roughly 1.3 million people across the globe became newly infected in 2024 and over 600,000 people died.

We owe it to every survivor, advocate, and loved one lost to keep fighting for a future without HIV.
