Proud to represent San Diego and a new generation of leaders in Congress.
Happy Thanksgiving! I’m incredibly grateful that my family could live the American Dream – but that’s just not possible for so many families. That’s why I will keep working to expand opportunity, open doors, and make the American Dream actually within reach for every family.

ICE isn’t going after violent criminals; instead, they’re arresting people at their green card interviews who are trying their best to go through the legal process. That’s why Rep. Juan Vargas, Rep. Mike Levin, and I are pushing for answers about this policy.
San Diego members of Congress question ICE arrests in green card interviews
Three members of Congress sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem Thursday with several questions and “deep concern” over ICE arrests during green card interviews in San Diego.

Congress STILL hasn’t passed an extension for the ACA enhanced premium tax credits. Without immediate action, so many vulnerable people will be kicked off their care in 2026.

People’s lives are on the line. Why are Republicans ignoring this?
Millions could go without health care coverage in 2026. Here’s why.
Millions of Americans will need to decide between paying skyrocketing health care premiums or going without coverage in 2026 if Congress doesn't act.

Terrorizing babies and children isn’t law enforcement – it’s a moral failure. ICE isn’t going after criminals; they’re targeting your neighbors and friends.

Quality, free public education is a right in this country.

Our education system is far from perfect, but dismantling the Department of Education from within will widen those gaps and deeply hurt the next generation.

Oh, and this is illegal.

ICE is terrorizing our communities and even sweeping up U.S. citizens and green card holders. They’re not targeting violent criminals. They’re targeting anyone who looks like an immigrant.

ICE is making all of us less safe.

Senate Republicans passed a provision that would allow Senators involved in the January 6th investigation to SUE the government for $500,000 EACH.

House Dems led and passed a bill to repeal it.

But Senator Lindsey Graham has chosen THIS of all things to take a stand on and blocked it. Typical.

Child care is more expensive than rent in cities all across this country. It’s making life unaffordable for so many young families.

Congress needs to do a lot more to bring down the cost of child care AND ensure providers are making a living wage.
