Everywhere I'm seeing signs of the economy crumbling. I begrudgingly went to one of LA's busiest malls yesterday, bracing myself for parking hell. I saw a spot and snagged it immediately. Then got out of the car and saw the garage was 2/3rds empty. Its insane how not busy it was.

This isn’t a focus in the Discourse because the loudest voices with the biggest platforms are people who have never worried about their next meal. I’ve needed SNAP; I’ve used SNAP; I’ve lost it when it mattered. This is going to be a wave of mass starvation beyond living memory in this country.
I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.
