IT exec put on leave (should be fired) after saying that his company's product was "highly processed food" for "poor people". Between this and the CDC/vaccines debacle, IT and Comms departments aren't exactly defending their professions. buff.ly/EbyJ252

Exactly. You’re slinging your view out to a bunch of strangers that you don’t know and don’t know you, so don’t be surprised when an obnoxious and/or insane reply comes your way.
If you are not prepared to eat the occasional ratio, armored in the belief that the posts are good and the opinions are correct, then don’t let world see your takes.

The CDC this week cited some of our work in new guidance related to vaccines and autism. However, the citations do not provide the greater context of the full body of work on vaccine safety that is essential for informed debate about this topic.

I see a lot of Paidchecks on X didn’t realize that a whole lot of people on social media lie about their location to grift off the naïveté of the rage-addled American right.

Turns out this problem is real and it’s a thing those of us who worked on “disinformation” pointed out.

The single most enjoyable thing about The Pitt is getting to ask your spouse, “Do you want to watch a The Pitt?”

Can someone just sum up this Olivia Nuzzi story for me? I don’t want to have to read it, not because I’m squeamish, but because I really don’t want to put in the effort.
Do not click links and if you do DO NOT READ THE POETRY

For the first time in my career, I can’t tell people to trust what the CDC website says. And that is an incredibly sad and devastating place for this country to be.
CDC has overhauled its website to assert that “the claim ‘vaccines do not cause autism’ is not an evidence-based claim”
