Even as an ancient one I'm still getting first times in my life.
Today's first time was for: dropping my phone in a toilet

(It seems fine and has been thoroughly rubbed with alcohol.)

There is a direct correlation between how fake your job is and how much value you see in AI
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

Regular toaster outcomes:
- 99.999%: toast!
- 0.001%: electrical fault

AI toaster outcomes:
- 30%: toast, but uneven or wrong doneness
- 20%: bread, but it claims it's toast
- 20%: bread, and it apologizes for not toasting
- 10%: essay on history of toast
- 15%: a banana
- 5%: toasts you instead

From the people who brought you "not working for free is called 'quiet quitting'" we now present
If a phone still works fine, it’s not “device hoarding” to keep using it. It’s common sense.

even the literal bare minimum effort is too much for them

Also, proof is irrelevant anyway since the reason they hold x position is social rather than logical. So the only way to change their mind is by trapping them on an island with no internet and a couple hundred people who keep telling them that they're wrong.
"x position. Prove me wrong!"
This... is very clever stupidity and it is always bad faith argumentation. It makes sense then, that only Steven Crowder types use this tactic, as they seem to put all their efforts into being cleverly wrong about everything. But why is it stupid? 2 reasons in my mind.

If you're new to cooking or don't trust yourself to recognize a bad AI recipe, for the love on god, do not just use random recipes from random profiles. Find trustworthy sites and creators (Serious Eats, NYT Cooking, J. Kenji Lopez-Alt, Alton Brown) and search their archives for what you need.
NEW: AI “recipe slop” is overrunning search and social. Food creators say Google’s AI Overviews and glossy fake food pics are drowning out real, tested recipes — collapsing traffic and setting home cooks up for disaster, especially this Thanksgiving.

So the US Mint is producing some special "last" pennies.
Has the law compelling their production actually been repealed? In the future when we get an administration that's actually forced to follow laws because they're not Republicans, wouldn't they resume production?

More Arri. His generally hapless nature doesn't mean he can't (nervously) defend himself when backed into a corner.
