Been wanting to get a shop update up forever; I’m still hoping by the end of the month. It’s just been a lot physically and mentally lately, plus issues out of my control with the ceramics. I’m working every day, however, despite it all, and everyone’s kind words/ likes/ RT’s fuel me 🥺💖

Talked to the studio about the kiln and they said everything is firing at the right temps now, but at one point they did a firing set to cone 6 that almost hit a cone 8 😭

I’ve been throwing a shoe at the tree outside my house because it’s infested with gravid lanternflies and I accidentally hit the house, which caused my husband to come out to ask what happened. He told me my quest to kill lanternflies is “peak unemployed friend on a Tuesday” behavior. A

Honestly, I’m terrified to glaze and fire anything after loosing so much. But I got myself a new clear glaze, the studio has worked on the firing issue, and I’m gonna run a few tests. It really puts be back to loose as much as I did but that’s just ceramics. And I guess life itself LOL
