I'll be really sad to see Noni go. He actually looked like an example of the model working (maybe still is in an unambitious sense) but he's not in their club so it doesn't matter, his fate was decided last summer, bit like Gallagher. It's so hard to care about this team when stuff like this happens

Seeing some all-time PL XI discourse. Mine is pretty vanilla I guess but a few hills I will die on:
(1) Cech’s spot is uncontested, nobody comes close
(2) Quality > quantity, so Trent > Neville, Hazard > Giggs etc.
(3) If KDB isn’t in there you might as well stop watching the sport

Delap + Gittens are both fine players but having just scraped into UCL this was the window to go for broke. Ekitiké and Barcola - THAT’S a UCL window. I fear this lack of ambition will cause us to stagnate next year and drop right out of UCL again.

As usual, I’m less annoyed about the deal falling through than I am about Chelsea’s media/negotiation strategy.

Oilers might lose a second cup final in a row because they persisted with Skinner and Pickard in goal, and every single hockey fan could see it coming from a mile away. Why they neglected a goalie when Gibson was on the market the whole time I will never understand.
