For 50 years, the median wage of hourly workers stagnated or declined while the stock market and CEO pay skyrocketed.

Is it any wonder why so many feel abandoned by the system? People lose faith, and a demagogue fills the void.

This is why we must fix the system.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

Per Bears PR: Caleb Williams is the first Bears QB since at least 1991 to have multiple games with 2+ passing touchdowns of 35+ yards in a single half.

The last NFL QB to do it was Lamar Jackson in 2023.

I don’t like agreeing to plans too far ahead because I can’t predict how I’ll feel on that day. At the same time, I don’t like last-minute plans either, as it’s too short notice. Anyone relate?

NEW EXTRA POINTS:

I went to the Rio Grande Valley to go to the very first UTRGV football game.

Here's what I learned about football in Texas, what makes the RGV a unique place, and building something for the community on their terms....not a school's.

Boots on the ground for the first UTRGV football game ... ever
What I learned from a 66-0 beatdown was about more than just football

I get "freedom = cars" in so many places but to me, a New Yorker, having a car seems so stifling. You have to figure out where to park, how to get gas, how to get home if you have 3 beers. What's actually freeing is being able to walk places and having trains that run wherever I want to go
Duffy: "She wants to take people off the road and she's taxing people to do it, raising money for the subway system in New York. But then, to put people in the subway -- the subway is dirty! There's violence. There's criminals. It's not safe ... By the way, I like freedom. Let me drive my car."

if I had a dollar for every scandal where Republican talking points switched from "it never happened" to "it happened, and it was actually good" I'd have enough money to benefit from their tax cuts
They went from "lies, it's all lies!" to "okay, it's true, but not that bad" to "akshually, it's Goldberg who is threatening national security" to "this was lawful and did not include classified info."

Great work, everybody.
CIA Dir. Ratcliffe: My communications to be clear in a signal message group were entirely permissible and lawful and did not include classified information.
