Going to make the Melt The Ice crochet hat this weekend. If anyone wants the pattern it's on ravelry by ssward in both knit and crochet and they are giving the proceeds to immigration aid organizations in the twin cities area. It's based off of an anti-nazi hat worn in 1940s Norway.
