Arguably this was the origin of hip hop...
"Ernie" (The Fastest Milkman in the West) written and performed by #BennyHill became a number-one hit, topping the UK Singles Chart for four weeks in 1971, a short promo film co-starring Henry McGee as Ted, and Jan Butlin as Sue, was shot on location in Vicarage Road, Maidenhead 🥛

This was a fun watch back in 1993. Not so much now.

The Reform pitch is increasingly “the last government was terrible, so we’ve hired everyone who was in it”.

Gravitational confinement with electromagnetic energy transfer may be a promising fusion technology.
Incidentally, we already have access to a fusion reactor. It's about 93 million miles away and the power can be harvested by anyone on the planet. Doesn't even need maintenance. You can tap in for a ridiculously low cost; no utility company required.

Solar power is really fusion power.

Why can't we have have nice wholesome family films like this anymore where good looking people fall in love and have strong happy marriages when there was RESPECT but instead everything's got to be 'complex' nowadays but it wasn't back then before Hollywood got infected by the woke mind virus.

What does Jools Holland do the rest of the year?

It is a little known fact that they prerecord the Jools Holland Hootenanny - all the people on screen are faking it being New Year for tv.

For eg, last year’s was prerecorded June 15th, 1535, during the Siege of Munster, look carefully and you can see John of Leiden mingling with the audience.

calling a military tech company Anduril: honestly, solid name, vibes of Aragorn's sword positive

calling a data company Palantir: sinister, but at least in a way that makes sense

calling your home security company *Sauron*, a cartoonishly evil villain famously undone by poor threat monitoring: ???

Can't believe the makers of It's A Wonderful Life thought they could get away with ripping off Back To The Future 2. And they filmed it in black and white, the cheapskates!

I watch Doctor Who spinoffs for the extremely long and dull political conferences. I'm sure we all do.

Hat tip to the artist who created the "FIFA peace prize" trophy. It's trashy and somehow 'off'. Like Shostakovitch, it outwardly delivers to the spec but with criticism embedded within it.
It's like they asked George A Romero to make a knock-off of the actual World Cup trophy

Today we’re sharing Rachel’s story, why she joined, what keeps her hopeful, and how her faith shapes her politics.

This is the ultimate victory of the 2010 to 2015 coalition government. People like Zack, claiming to be left wing, but refusing to accept that general taxation has to rise if we want to reverse austerity. Osborne should be very happy.
Rachel Reeves says on Laura Kuenssberg that she's asking working people to pay a little bit more.

This was all under the cover of a made up "black hole" whilst refusing to tax the super rich.

This Labour Government showing again exactly who they are and who they serve.

I wrote for Premier this week on what I think Badenoch & Cates get wrong about (what the Bible says about) the relationship between the church and the welfare state.
Miriam Cates worries the welfare state has robbed the church of its purpose. Here’s why I disagree
Church and state must work in partnership in order to effectively serve the poor, argues Hannah Rich. Former Conservative MP Miriam Cates is wrong to pit the two against one another, she says
