The most difficult puzzle I’ve ever attempted, but I’ve started so …

I’m sure Professor David Cove would have been excited by this news. @reskilab.bsky.social, have you seen this?

Hannah thinks it must be nearly Christmas as the reindeer have been brought out of storage, & she is now giving her Santa toy a lot of attention. Far far too early I say.

Hannah inspecting the new stairs from the kitchen. Great day with the builder to get the heavy stairs in place with mm precision. Hats off to the carpenter who made it to measure before there was much to measure it to! Now just trims, glass panel & handrail to fit, decorate it in, & fit the parquet.

I thought this was quite apt, spotted while out for the night time walk with my little Hannah.

Am interesting thread.
The poverty premium has gone digital and everyone's pretending not to notice. McDonald's charges more if you don't use their app. Tesco Clubcard prices are 20-30% cheaper than "regular" prices. Amazon Prime front-loads costs poor people can't afford. Being poor now costs extra. 🧵 #UX #technology

Some red tractor cufflinks from the

Hannah has for some unknown reason decided to go to sleep in the corner of the room next to a bookcase rather than in her regular bed.

The upper section of the soil
stack is now secured in place 🥳 A dry day today means the guttering & other drainage tasks are sorted before winter. Just some cosmetic finishing touches on my list. For those who are most observant, I also cleaned out the window roof gutter 🌱

It’s finally time to fit the new staircase from the hall to the kitchen! The temporary steps have served us well for the past 5 years, but it will be good to get the new oak staircase out of the hall where it has sat for around 3 years! Tomorrow is the big day.

DYK, that sepia ink was originally made from squid ink?

DYK, that it is possible to recover the remains of ink from fossil Belemnites?

DYK, that Mary Anning discovered this?

DYK, that you can reconstitute that fossil squid ink and use it to draw?

DYK, this was en vogue in the 19th century?
