Well that was a bit of fun, with what has to be the smallest jigsaw I’ve ever done. 150 pieces, hand for scale. #Picasso

Visited the fabulous Picasso museum in Barcelona. Picasso’s father was also an artist. His pigeon painting is superb. Picasso’s pigeons on the other hand are in a rather different style.

Not exactly #palacesandgardens or a classic #urbangaze, but this was from a Christmas visit to #Vienna two years ago.

I think this photo captures some of the vertical grandeur of St. Stephen’s Cathedral

This is the first ever jigsaw that made me realise life is too short to spend hours and hours trying to find the right piece. Every new correct piece revealed one that was already wrong. It’s also one of those where piece edges don’t align, so it’s time to admit defeat.

The 15th century ‘Angel Roof’ of St Helen’s Church at Brant Broughton in Lincolnshire. While restored in the later 19th century, the colours are based on extensive traces of the original paintwork. 📸 My own. #Woodensday #BrantBroughton #Lincolnshire #AdventAngels

Quite breath taking.
St Peter's Chapel: originally c.1200 great hall for Durham's powerful Prince Bishops @ Auckland Castle.
Amazing ceiling has arms of Bishop Cosin who converted to chapel after monarchy restored.

Boats, & a ship. I think this photo would make a great jigsaw, I think MrsG would disagree.

The castle is worth a visit, best to walk up rather than queue for the lift.

Just eight of the one thousand nine hundred and eighty poinsettias currently adorning the @cunardline.bsky.social Queen Victoria. (I asked the person watering them how many there were)

Just back from 2 weeks away where we have been spoilt with fine dining, so a simple cheese on toast supper tonight, but after 15 minutes of trying to get the grill to work, it seems I put the knobs back in the wrong place on the cooker last time I cleaned them! All now sorted & sated.

Just home from my 1st trip to Barcelona, & blown away by the Sagradia Família. I’ve been fortunate to see 4 of the 7 wonders of the modern world, & the last of the original 7, plus some other truly incredible places, but this just has to be my top pick for THE most amazing wonder of the modern world
