WalMart is acutely aware of what its customers can afford to pay. Slashing the cost of the Thanksgiving package is a canary in the coal mine for the economy. They could have downscaled to keep the price the same but they chose to cut $10, because that was a bigger draw.

So yeah, sometimes when people bring up pre-modern traditions of slavery, including in Africa, and the role of Africans in the Atlantic slave trade, its clear where they are going politically and its more useful to shut that shit down.

I don’t see the video of a crowned Donald dumping shit on a crowd from a plane as a distraction from what Donald is doing, I see it as a double red underline to emphasize what Donald is doing, and I wonder about those folks who don’t think they live in the same country that we do.
