I can understand asking for nuance in these discussions, but deliberately muddying the water by bringing up automation tools that people understand are not generative AI and asking for a middle ground is disingenuous. The nuanced position is that people are roundly rejecting the tech, respect that.

I think @pleasantlytwstd.blacksky.app's work for and with @blackinaflash.bsky.social has done an immeasurable amount of good for showcasing and uplifting Black speedrunners and gamers. They've also paved the way for other people of color (like myself) to be more visible in our spaces too 💜
Because I just got emotional watching a thing, I'm going to inflict this emotion on everyone else: Please RT this and shout out someone whose work is important to you. Don't wait to praise our best until they're gone. Give them their flowers while they can hear it and know they're appreciated.

I've been trying to find the polite way to say "hey absolutely we should be alarmed about the targeting of trans people but we also should also talk about how cis and trans PoC are the targets in mind bc the people who think trans women aren't women also think WoC in general aren't women"

I look at things like tonight's events and I think a lot about my very liberal friend who, years ago in these same political scenarios/setups would brow beat me about how people like Schumer were necessary for change bc the Mamdanis, the Sanders, the socialists were asking for "too much, too fast."
