My god. This program is just terrible.
It is understandable that we don't want Russian firms paying taxes to the Putin regime, but this is not a good side-effect. What if they get fed up and just dump the oil (idk if this is possible at sea)?

I mentioned earlier that they chew on Nile Crocodiles - I wasn't kidding, baby Hippos use them as teething rings since the texture of their scales is satisfying to gum.

The critical thing is that "gross emissions" go down rapidly, to near zero in 2050 or so, for ~1.5°C. This is how you solve the climate problem.
That green slither of carbon dioxide removal is a nice to have, not a do-or-die requirement.
Focus on reducing emissions.

The IEA has brought back the Current Policies Scenario (CPS) in the World Energy Outlook (WEO).
I think this will be useful. Fossil CO2 emissions keep rising, when they should be falling. It is time to admit that. So I hope the CPS can help address this issue.
