Trump and Hegseth want to throw Admiral Bradley under the bus. I hope Congress holds THEM to account.
Remember “Signal gate”? Hegseth is incompetent. He was appointed by a demented President. He was unanimously confirmed by castrated Republicans knowing he was incompetent. The only way all of these people get out of sharing blame is to make someone other than Hegseth the villain.

So Trump pardoned a political dissident and not a drug kingpin who trafficked more than 400 tones of cocaine into the US?
I just bet $1,000 that he’ll be pardoned by Friday. Easy money.

The concerns … come from the likes of staff officers involved in planning the strikes on supposed drug-carrying boats and those in charge of designating those on the vessels as a threat in order to carry out such attacks.

The current Judge Advocate General of the Navy is Marine Major General David Bligh.

He was selected for the position by Hegseth specifically because he would not “get in the way of operational decisions.” (Pete’s words, not mine).

Bligh did exactly what he was selected to do, give cover to illegal

But will there actually be any consequences? Even if there are, trump will use his pardon power to overturn any convictions.
@markhertling.bsky.social: “When you're talking about striking against someone who's wounded and clinging to debris…Deliberately targeting such a person isn't a tactical decision, it's a war crime by the Geneva Convention, the laws of land warfare, and the U.N. Charter.”

What is it with the GOP and wanting to find excuses to strip citizenship?
Sen. Moreno tells me he renounced his Colombian citizenship at 18. And he says this bill prohibits dual citizenship w/ all countries, no exceptions (including Israel). “Yes, every country. You have to make a decision. Either you're an American citizen only, or you're a citizen of another country.”
Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, just introduced a bill to ban Americans from holding dual citizenship. The bill says that to “preserve the integrity of national citizenship, allegiance to the United States must be undivided.” It’s called the Exclusive Citizenship Act.

Scoop: The letter behind Trump's pardon of Honduras' ex-president for drug trafficking
The surprise announcement of Juan Orlando Hernandez's looming pardon is a window into the unorthodox, norm-shattering way President Trump grants clemency.

A few years back, I realized that GOP voters are rooted in deep, gleeful selfishness as their core ideology.

Every contradiction and inconsistency is easily explained through this reframing.
Indiana GOP Rep Mike Bohacek whose daughter has Down Syndrome says no to gerrymandering after Trump used an offensive slur in his Thanksgiving post.

I get it, but he knew who Trump was before he posted the slur. Why do they see the light only after it affects them personally?

Is it logical to punish all green card holders for the actions of one individual?

If MAGA applied this logic to all violent acts then they would have put more gun ownership restrictions in place after 1 school shooting.

This isn’t about stopping violence, it’s about racism. #impeachtrump
