funniest thing the committee could do is flip miami ahead of notre dame after a byu win that knocks both of them out
The only way Bama and ND don't both get in is if BYU beats Texas Tech, which knocks ND out and they don't have to worry about putting them in over Miami, which they clearly want to do but wouldn't be able to bc there wouldn't be a spot.

if scotus comes out against birthright citizenship, a district judge should just say they are reviewing the law wrong, scotus has been wrong before (cite Dred Scott and them overturning Roe) and just say it is the law of the land. start the court war
I continue to think that Matty coming out against birthright citizenship a few months ago should have been taken as a major warning sign that the group chats have already decided to surrender on this.

Thoughts on Campbell to Penn State - if I had to guess, I’ll say Penn State is looking again in 5-6 years. I don’t think Campbell has the juice for a big big program. But, that said, he’s more than earned the opportunity. It’s hard to remember how dogcrap ISU used to be. Incredible accomplishment

I know we laugh at this but Johnson is the first Southern GOP speaker since Newt and it shows. There are almost twice as many GOP women in congress now than there were in 95. And most of all - Newt was a politician. Mike Johnson was not meant for this game. He’s a true believer.

I think the most frustrating part is that it will never be acceptable again, either. Trump gets some sort of special sauce from the media time and time again. JD Vance would not be able to say this and get away with it.
i'd go even further and say there is a reason even nixon kept this kind of stuff to himself. you would have to go back quite a bit to find a point at which is acceptable for a president to say anything like this *in public*, to say nothing of in the oval office.
I don’t want to be pollyannish about the past, but it was basically inconceivable twenty years ago that a president would say this publicly
