Learned today every single background in FFVIII was first illustrated to such exacting detail that the 3D renders were a direct translation with no details added. They could've just spent a little extra time painting them to save $1,000,000

Instead of going to bed I'm reading about how Raimais > Syvalion > Darius are all one continuity (Dr. Molt is the creator of the Varia, who create the Syvalion, which is stolen by the Belsar and repurposed as Dark Helios)
