Some moral clarity from @pbump.com
It is incredibly simple to acknowledge that violence in any form is awful and erodes society.

So funny…
Don’t send me an unsolicited picture of your peewee cocktapus unless you want me to…
A: find your mom’s Facebook
B: find a picture she uploaded of you reminiscing about what a nice young man you were
C: badly photoshop that into a locket
D: convince you I’m your daughter.

Happy Father’s Day Daddy.

Wondering if there is a #nokings rally in London today (there is in Berlin) because that would be quite funny.

How did Jake Tapper miss the robot clone thing in his book, that’s what I want to know. And he calls himself a journalist.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who cannot bear to remove friends who have passed away from my phone contacts. It somehow seems disrespectful to their memories.

I do hope Cardinal Pizzaballa gets the papal nod, because after that it would be criminal to not have a weekly podcast called "A Slice-a da Pizza".

OK I have no idea how this is possible.
SORRY. Sorry.
Have we seen this *incredible* news video coming out of Queensland? Wait for the witness/witnesses statement

Wow... $5.49 a dozen for pasture raised eggs at the Good Food Store. That's what you get for supporting small, local farms that haven't been decimated in the same way that mega-factory-farms have by bird flu.

Anyone else getting bombarded on Facebook with fake articles pushed about how amazing Elon is, what a great philanthropist, so smart, family man, etc. Clearly a campaign.

It is interesting how @wired.com and @404media.bsky.social are really putting out valuable content right now. They've got a long term history of analyzing the nuances of technology as related to society, and that prepares them for this time in politics.

There are four subjects that every high school student should have as required that almost none do: civics, critical thinking, personal finance and nutrition.

If European countries are smart, they'd offer grants and visas to health science workers on promising projects now canceled by NIH funding freezes.

What a bad take. Industry spent $$billions upgrading and modifying systems to make sure it was a non-event. They were just successful for the most part. It was a crisis, and it was just properly mitigated.
Yes, the Y2K software problem turned out to be a nonevent. But 25 years ago, The New York Times took it seriously, publishing over 100 stories.

Our tech reporter who wrote a front-page article on Jan. 1, 2000, reflects on the crisis that never was.

Planes didn’t fall from the sky on Jan. 1, 2000. A technology reporter who wrote a front-page article early that morning reflects on a crisis that never was.

Since Yellowstone had its finale last night, I think it's worth pointing out that in S1, E1 had they just set up a conservation easement and started putting land into that, none of the drama would have been needed, and the ranch would still be the Duttons.

Folks, if we push out civil people like @sykescharlie.bsky.social rather than debating them honestly, we will end up with an echo chamber. I’d much rather have a set of diverse but decent people on here to make the experience thought provoking.
